POWER & PLUGS

Switzerland plugs & voltage

Check country plug types, voltage and frequency, then compare your device label.

What should I compare before using an appliance in Switzerland?

Reviewed supply profiles: 230 V / 50 Hz / C · J. Compare voltage and frequency on the device INPUT label separately from plug shape, grounding and ratings.

Scope: Recorded country/regional supply profiles; not a guarantee of supply at a property or safety of an individual device.

What time is it at your destination?

Seoul reference · UTC+9

Uses your device clock and IANA time zones, including daylight saving on that date.

Does a travel adapter also change the voltage?

A shape adapter does not change voltage or frequency. If the supply is outside the device label, do not connect it; check with its manufacturer. Hair dryers and styling tools also require checks of power draw, adapter ratings and grounding.

Does a 100–240V label mean any adapter is suitable?

No. Check frequency, pin shape, grounding and current/power ratings as well. A manual 110/220V switch is not a continuous input range and requires a separate check.
